PARADISE VALLEY AND THE
YELLOWSTONE RIVER

Paradise Valley nestles between Livingston and Gardiner, Montana, at an elevation of 4400 feet. It is bordered by the 11,000 foot snow-capped peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth Mountain Range on the East and the towering Gallatin Mountain Range on the West. To the North lie the Crazy Mountains, and to the Northwest-the Bridgers.

The Yellowstone River, the longest free-flowing river in The United States, is a world-class blue ribbon trout stream, teaming with trophy-size Cutthroats, Browns and Rainbows. It flows North through Paradise Valley from its source, Yellowstone Lake, in famed Yellowstone National Park.

DEER HAVEN RANCH
AND AREA ACTIVITIES

Deer Haven is a 270 acre horse & llama ranch situated on one mile and a quarter of the Yellowstone River. Horses, llamas, donkeys, Shetland ponies and a miniature horse roam the pastures and visit the fishing floats lunching at our permanent picnic sites. Chickens supply farm-fresh eggs. Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Great Blue Herons, Pelicans and a variety of native and migrating birds soar over the property and fill the air with song. Red Fox, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer and other wildlife make their homes on, or visit, the ranch. Yellowstone National Park, with its fabulous thermal areas, is just 38 miles south. Fly fishing float trips, canoeing and river rafting, horseback riding, pack trips, cycling, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing are just some of the area's available activities.
